With the development of China's geosynthetics industry, geosynthetic products of various types, specifications and functions have been developed and manufactured. Featuring the characteristics, such as light weight and high strength, ecological and environmental protection, cost-efficient and easy construction, the geosynthetics products create conditions for its promotion and application in the field of highway engineering.
At present, geosynthetics are widely used in highway, railway, airport, port, waterway, municipal and other transportation fields.
In terms of green development: First, use resources sparingly and intensively, and occupy as little or no permanent basic agricultural land as possible; second, strengthen ecological protection and restoration, build green roads, and strengthen ecological optimization of road route selection; third, strengthen water environment and noise pollution prevention and control.
Geosynthetic materials have their own advantages in disaster prevention and mitigation, such as adapting to weak foundations, excellent seismic performance, and preventing landslides and debris flow.
